GLO Status Report #5 - Mission Elapsed Time (MET) 6/16:00 Feb. 9, 1995 21:22 GMT The high-voltage power supply has not been turned on since the problems encountered on MET day 4, to minimize risk to the instrument before prime experiments on MET day 7. These experiments are dedicated to studies of maneuvering rocket plumes, shuttle glow, and the orbiter environment. We anticipate observing day and night airglow and auroral activity throughout the final airglow observation period, MET 7/11:00 through 8/01:00. The digital recording unit has finally responded to power-up commands, so hopefully we will have no gaps in the data on the final night.
