GLO Status - Mission Elapsed Time (MET) 1/16:50 STS-63 was successfully launched after a 24 hour delay caused by a technical problem on Discovery. Lift-off was on February 3, 1995 at 5:22:04 GMT. The GLO instrument is collecting science data after some problems encountered during the first day of operation. The GLO high-voltage power supply, which powers all spectrographs and most of the imagers, failed spontaneously twice, but has given no further trouble. The instrument's data recording unit has not responded to power-up. We are collecting data during times when we have ku band communication with the ground, which has been estimated to be about 60% of the time.
